Reliable frame capture from VHS - logging dropped/duplicated frames

Hi guys its been a while,

Working on a project at the moment where I am digitising VHS tapes, but I'm getting some dropped/duplicated frames which is causing some issues in my post processing.

Is there a capture method that ensures each frame is captures from the VHS? If a frame is dropped it just inserts a empty frame rather than miss it out?

Thanks,
Sean
