I got an AG1980 from tgrant and an ATI 9600, the one with the proprietary cables and such. I followed all the install instructions for the drivers and MMC (http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...der-hacks.html and http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...g-ati-mmc.html) and am now trying to capture. I got virtualdub with all the filters but when I start a new capture and select the ATI card I just get static on the preview when playing a tape. I connected to svideo from the AG1980 to the purple dongle. I must be missing something. I'm using XP sp2.

Is VirtualDub input on s-video, not tuner?

If you haven't read it yet the VirtualDub settings guide is invaluable.

Thanks, that was it. It took a while to find the setting. Follow-up question. I downloaded the 1.9.11 pack from this site with all the plugins. I'm guessing VirtualDubMod is the exe I should run. Is that right? If I just use the VirtualDub.exe the screen goes black when trying to capture and I have to hard reboot my computer.
