I have this old hi8 video camera, whenever I try to use it on player mode it shows only a grainy, high exposure on the lcd screen and view finder. it can record but no images. what is seems to be the problem?

What model camcorder? If its from the early 90s, it likely needs capacitor replacement.

Hello I already fixed it. I only need to press the search button. I'm not sure what model is this but it's from the 90's with a 560 zoom.
