I'm having problems with the Hauppauge WinTV 2000 and Ulead MF 2 SE when using them to capture from my Hauppauge WinTV PVR 350. Both were bundled with the card and I applied the latest fixes, but MF2 SE gives an error and will not capture at all while WinTV 2000 will freeze at some point and stop capturing (it sometimes crashes Win2K which is quite an accomplishment). I tried the trial version of MF 3 but it does not support the Hauppauge cards, and you have to buy it before you can apply the Hauppauge supplement.

Do you know of any reliable software that will capture in mpeg format from the Hauppauge PVR 350?

You should look into some of those "PVR" softwares.

See the "PVR or DVR Applications" section.

I followed your advice and found two free programs which have worked flawlessly so far: WinTVCap and WinTVCapStart (the scheduler which invokes WinTVCap). Thanks once again.
