Hi all,

I got an offer to buy a HS850 at a good price, but when checking Lordsmurf's list, it's not among the recommended models.

When googling, I didn't find any evidence that this model has TBC, so I guess that's the reason why it's not worth picking up. Can anyone here confirm?

You can check the user manual, It's readily available for free online using a google search.

Yeah it does not have a TBC, so you would want to use it together with a dvd-recorder or similar that can correct horizontal wiggle instead.

Good point.
In fact I did find the manual before i posted.
https://www.bruksanvisni.ng/panasonic/nv-hs850/bruksanvisning

I noticed it didn't have any mention of TBC, but it could have been an incomplete manual, undocumented feature, or I could have just missed it (since the PDF was "flat scanned" and not searchable).
So it felt safer to get a confirmation from users with first hand experience here.
