Hardware for recording videos via S-Video
 

Hello,

Recently I got a JVC HR-S7600U VCR, which works great (for now). Since this particular VCR has an S-Video In and Out, I was wondering if there is any hardware that can take USB/HDMI or VGA with audio jack/DVD (more on that later). I have an E-Matic converter box I bought from Walmart a few months ago, and the reason I use it is that it can have a USB and play any video I have on it and spit it out via Composite. With that being said, I started this thread to see if there is some type of device that works in a similar fashion that can preferably take a USB or HDMI and spit out any video via S-Video. Furthermore, with DVD I do have a DVD burner, But I do not know if it has software, and putting videos onto a DVD is just less convenient than having it on a USB or using HDMI. If it is inevitable, I guess I would have to use a device that only uses DVD and spits it out via S-Video.

Thanks, but aren't these the so-called "Chinese cheap amazon knock-offs" few say here on these forums. I am using this just to record videos I do onto VHS for "aesthetic" or whatever.

No. The EasyCrap are capture devices, this is doing the opposite. That said, the quality will still be craptastic once you record to videotape. I have HDMI to composite box that I bought as an experiment for some reason and while it works, it's bad!
