Using DNxHR codecs in VirtualDub?

I am having 8mm film digitized. I can get the masters in ProRes422HQ or DNxHR HQ. They said they usually deliver DNxHR for Windows users... but I cannot find anything about using DNxHR in VDub... I downloaded the Avid codecs and installed, but I see nothing listed in VDub x32 or x64 codecs.

I am also digitizing a bunch of VHS and for the ones that are not important enough for Huffyuv masters, I was planning on using the ffmpeg/ProRes codec in VDub... but if DNxHR is available I would consider that if more usable in other Windows tools.

Is there any info anywhere about encoding getting DNxHR working in VDub?

Thanks!

One of the features of virtualdub2 over older virtualdub is that it can open video using ffmpeg, so it should be able to open DNxHR stuff too I think. I don't think it will let you save in it though, at least not without the proper codecs installed, it does at least support saving to prores and cineform.

Thanks. I have VDub 2 installed. And I installed the codecs from Avid. But I don't see them in the VDuv2 codec list.

You may need ffdshow. I forget offhand if included. I've not opened a DNxHD in probably 10 years. I mostly used that format when editing in Avid on Mac, in my studio days.
