Camcorders capture results weird?

sony ccd-trv67 Hi8
TBC(o) DNR(o)

camcorder s-video -> gv-usb2 capture card -> AmarecTV huffyuv

Why does sc7 look better than trv67 when I captured it in the same environment?

In addition, sc7 does not have tbc and dnr.

:question:

No it doesn't, The camcorder with TBC/DNR got rid of all chroma noise present as greenish tone and the luma is sharper, hence little noisier. The other camcorder is soft and has more chroma stains.

Could you try a capture from trv67 with NR off for a better comparison? It can be one of those cases where "edit" mode (sort of) is not ideal (although the chroma noise can be reduced in post-processing).

A sample of the HuffYUV videos is better than compressed images.
