Hi, I've searched through this forum quite a bit trying to see if there's an answer to this already, but I'm trying to install an AGP AIW Radeon 32MB card on a Windows XP machine, but every time I try to install from the disc I got with it (180-G01425-100), I get the "Severe - INF error - Video driver not found" error message. I get the same error when trying to install from the 6168 package that I got here.
I also got a 180-V01036-100 disc as well, but that one seems like it's just a MMC installer.

I have used the ATI uninstall tool from a newer Catalyst disc to remove all ATI drivers, and that stopped XP from picking some Radeon driver to install without my consent when it detected the card.

However, now I am at a loss as to what driver needs to be installed to stop the INF error message from showing up. Right now, when I have XP look for a generic driver, it finds and installs RADEON AIW DDR which doesn't work for video capture at all.

I get the sense from some other forums that the ATI installer wants to see a generic VGA driver installed before it will install the correct Radeon driver, but I don't know what to tell it to install. At the moment, my machine is running without a video driver installed at all. Any help getting the driver to actually work would be much appreciated.

Normal x86 / 32-bit XP right? Not 64? Because if 64, that's the issue. AIW does not work on 64.

Right, x86. I'm running this on a Pentium III, 930MHz. XP SP2.

Well, I may have spoken too soon. I got it to install using 5_9_xp_2k_dd_cp_wdm_26409.exe that I found in the driver collection on archive.org.

Capture with MMC seems to be working fine. VirtualDub seems to only want to capture at about 7 FPS, but I guess if MMC works, that'll work for me.
