If you're looking for a really cheap capture device, this one is worth looking at. I won't guarantee it has high quality, or that it will work well for VHS to DVD conversions, but it might have some minimal use when archive quality is not required.

The biggest draw to this device is that it supposedly works well on both Mac and PC (Windows) systems, through the USB2 port for video capturing.

Easycap USB 2.0 Video Adapter (with audio, of course)
for Apple Mac OS and Windows XP/Vista,
"Capture and Edit high-quality Video and Audio"

Original Price: $39.99
Sale Price: $27.99
Free Shipping + No Tax (Except CA/MA)
Expires: 08/27
Click here to buy it: http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=78...eals&afftrack=

Sold by Meritline.com, a respected merchant, suggested by digitalFAQ.com

I need to see if I can get a sample of this from Meritline or the manufacturer, write up a thorough professional review on it.
