My brother got one yesterday, its $89 and does DVD-R,+R, and DL discs.

I figured for $89 why not try it out, it cleans up a cable signal really well and can play PAL/NTSC discs region free, so it makes a nice little DVD Player if you dont want multiple pieces of equipment.

Have yet to mess with the DL disc burning but its an interesting feature and can conceivably give you 4hrs for something like wrestling or 6-8hrs for a TV show/cartoon. If DL discs come down heavily in price I could see using that feature more and more for my live wrestling events since I dont put menus or anything on them anyway.

But its a nice little recorder, he currently has a Toshiba and this one has a better image for the same channels so that was neat.

Something to think about. No greenish tint on video? Tom had mentioned he had some issues with the liteon doing that with videos.

Lite on must have fixed the problem. Cool , a recorder I can afford ( after Christmas ) lol
