I read Lordsmuf's comment on MMC v8.8 and v8.9.
"ATTENTION! ATI MMC 7.7 and 8.7 are the two most stable versions of ATI MMC."
My ATI card came with v8.8, and this was unstable. I downloaded v8.9, and it is not any better!

How do I get the 8.7 download

Update -- See this post: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...der-hacks.html

______

In the download area of ATI.com, you can see a listing where it shows "PREVIOUS VERSIONS" or something to that extent.
Original location: http://www2.ati.com/drivers/mmc-8-7-0-0.exe

Hello. First time posting here.

Anyway, I have a ATI TV Wonder PRO Pci Card, and an ATI Radeon 9800 XT video card. Anyway, As others have reported, I have problems with MMC v 8.8 and 8.9. I tried to download and install 8.7 from the ATI site, but when I installed it, there was no option for the TV software. So, the only reason why I wanted to install MMC, wasn't even there. Am I doing something wrong? I'd really like to use the stable version of MMC.

The TV WONDER series cards can only use ATI MMC 7.1 to 7.9, and then 8.8 to 8.9. It uses difference chips that the ATI All In Wonder Radeon cards, which is what ATI MMC 8.x was originally made for. Only recently did they add backwards support.

HOWEVER! You can try to 128 PRO hack method on it. That is on another thread in this ATI card forum. I've never tried it, but I think it could work.

Just as an update, I'm having issues myself on ATI MMC 8.9 install attempts. I tried it tonight, big mistake, gonna be tinkering with this for hours to restore it, I know.

It's the software, not me or you, which is good to know.
