JVC DR-M100S Resolution and Bitrate Reference Sheet
1 Attachment(s)
I made up this summary for my own reference, but I thought I'd share it with those who might find it useful!
The attached file contains details about the JVC DR-M100S NTSC DVD recorder, displaying for each recording mode (presets and free-rate modes) what video/audio bitrate and resolution the recorder uses for that given mode. I've highlighted the points where the recorder changes bitrates/resolutions in red to make it easy to see where the switch occurs. |
I think I've reached my editing limit on this particular message/attachment, but note that my reference of TFF should real top-field-first and not top-frame-first.

Very useful. :thumb:
JVC DR-M100S Video/Audio Bitrate Reference Sheet Note: Video bitrates are VBR (variable bit-rate) except when noted and are averaged. Preset Modes
Free-Rate Modes
* These modes record Constant-Bit-Rate (CBR) video. Note: In EP mode and at FR-305 the DVD recorder switches from recording TFF (top-field first) interlaced video to progressive video. All remaining free-rate modes on the recorder also record in progressive video mode. |
