ATI video captured ... now what ?

I downloaded a movie from my DirectTV DVR using my ATI MMC 8.1. I set all the capture values with your ATI Guide. Is the movie file already coded? What do I need to do, to burn it to a DVD. My system is a AMD 2400+ CPU,1GB RAM, 2 60GB maxtor 7200 HDs, ATI 8500 AIW. I tried to use TMPGEnc DVD Author,and it said that my file is to large to go on a single DVD.
