The
home page of the VideoGlide website says:
- 640 x 480, 25 frames per second PAL/SECAM video capture.
Yet when I install the software and check out the
VideoGlide ReadMe, it says:
- Video captured from PAL/SECAM sources is 720 x 576 at 25 frames per second.
That resolution option also appears under the
Record menu along with a host of others.
Assuming I've got a capture device like the ATI Wonder thing, is it possible to determine at what resolution
VideoGlide is capturing? By selecting the 720 x 576 option, could it be capturing at 640 x 480 and upscaling behind the scenes?
When I'm eventually capturing, I'll be happy accepting bit-rates much less than a lossless bit-rate, but a capture at lower resolution, followed by upscaling, bothers me.
