ATI MMC "Video Snapshot" function doesn't snap!
 

ATI MMC Version 8.8, "Snapshot" works fine during Capture/Record, But when in File Player mode,I press the "Camera" button and the video file stalls for a split second,but no snapshot file is made! (The file path directory I made in "snapshot" options is to the same folder/drive destination as "Recorded Files") I was trying to make snapshots of the same file I had just recorded but this time playing it with File Player......And I just now realized that maybe I'm attempting to create a file that already exists with the same name???..But there is no error message when I try this!:(

To be honest, the snapshot feature found in software players is generally lousy -- including ATI MMC.
It's deinterlaced, blurry, etc. It's not faithful to the original content. It's not exact or precise.

You'd do better to load the video into VirtualDub, and then go to Video > Copy source from to clipboard

Any screen caps taken for digitalFAQ.com are done with VirtualDub. ;)
