The SR-VS30 should have a TBC. I believe the manual is attached to this forum.

Based on other information found online, this Sharp does have a TBC. Given the features of the unit, there's a good chance this is a JVC re-branded (rebadged) deck.

Sharp never manufactured Super VHS VCRs that I'm aware of. In fact, most Sharp VCRs were consumer VHS units made for other private label brands, like Montgomery Ward (the Admiral brand). NTSC Sharp VHS VCRs had some unique uses a decade ago, but most of the units have long since died, and are largely irreparable (no parts).

Okay, thanks good to know that

Btw, is there any sample of JVC or Panasonic with TBC on and off?
I would like to see raw or very high bitrate samples of it

Does anyone have any knowledge on Panasonic NV-SV 121 for capturing?
I know one who has used it for DVD capturing, and said itīs not as good as the 930/960, but was wondering how it performs with raw capture, along with itīs tbc and stuff.

These PAL Panasonic S-VHS VCR models should all have TBC + DNR:
  • Panasonic NV-FS 200
  • Panasonic NV-HS 950
  • Panasonic NV-HS 1000
  • Panasonic NV-HS 860
  • Panasonic NV-HS 930
  • Panasonic NV-HS 960
  • Panasonic NV-SV 121

It should work fine.
