I have seen many Panasonic NV-HD630 listed on e-bay claiming that they have NTSC 3.58 support. On this basis I went ahead and bought one but can not see anywhere in the (basic) menu system to configure this. Does this device truely support NTSC 3.58?

I am in doubt since there is a manual circulating almost everywhere for a NV-HD630 Series player that looks vey different from the one I bought. Also Panasonic provide a manual for the NV-HD630 that differs greatly to the other manual.

Where there two different NV-HD630 machines?

Confused!!

The user's manual seems to indicate that it can playback NTSC tapes with a standard NTSC output. Otherwise it is just a standard consumer VHS player. There is no line TBC or noise reduction system. Playback performance would be much better with a high end NTSC deck.
