Panasonic NV-HS1000 NTSC output
Hi,
I am trying to do some research into which VCR's might best suite my needs with regards to transferring my old video tapes. High on my current list is the Panasonic NV-HS1000 largely due to its SVHS, TBC and S-Video out. I understand that this will play NTSC format videos also. The question is - Is the NTSC signal 3.58 or 4.43. This is important to me since I will be running the VCR through a Canopus ADVC-55 which will only accept a "true" NTSC signal at 3.58. If anyone can confirm the NTSC output I would really appreciate it. I am also interested in the same answer in relation to the NV-FS200 also. Thanks! |
It is likely NTSC 4.43 (PAL color carrier). If you have a stack of NTSC tapes to do, I would seek out a NTSC VCR.

Thanks for the response. I have a Panasonic NV-HD630 on the way to me which is supposed to output at 3.58 or 4.43 so that might help me, but since it doesn't have a TBC or S-Video out it might not be great and so I thought I'd lookout for something better.
Your probably right and my best bet is to try and purchase one from the US and get it shipped over to UK. |
