Hello,

I am building a second "newer" computer for capture.

I had the chance to put my hand on a ATI USB600 capture stick.

Now I can install Windows 7 (thanks to Lordsmurf investigation) or Windows XP pro.

I would like to upgrade with Windows 7 since I have a newer motherboard and ssd drive.
Right now my video card is a AIW X1900. (capture part suppose to work only on XP)

I would like to know AIW X1900 can interfere with the ati USB600?

Should I go with Windows 7?

Thanks

It should not interfere, no.

And if you decide to sell that x1900 card, let me know.

At worst, there's one computer here that refuses to install ATI CMC and see the ATI 600 USB stick. But it's fine on all other systems. I'm about to swap the card with another computer, and give that problem one a AVI-only card (Tevion). It's never used for MPEG anyway.

Hi
I will let you know for the X1900
I will get my ATI USB600 just in december.
This is why I will try to make it work again only with the X1900.
But right now my first tentative for assembling my new computer failed. I mean I think I messed up with drivers installation order. I used X1900 drivers installation package available on this site. I ended up with the black screen syndrome when I tried to capture.

I decide to re-install from zero. Yesterday I succesfully installed XP on a sandisk SSD despite the fact it was tagged for Windows 7 and Windows 8 -based PCs

I will keep you inform!
THanks
