Non-AGP ATI All In Wonder cards - PCI vs PCI express?
I have a spare 2007 computer. I only have either PCI-e x16 or classic PCI ports available. Please advise the model which is capable doing S-Video capture.
I'm only interested in the models which don't have AVIVO. With AVIVO they started incorporating AGC and I don't want that. So my only choices are: For PCI-e x16: All-in-Wonder X800 GT (still need to find out whether it has S-Video in and whether it doesn't have AVIVO). All-in-Wonder X600 Pro - read pretty bad reviews. For PCI based on Radeon family chip: All-in-Wonder 9200 PCI version All-in-Wonder VE All-in-Wonder Radeon based on 3d Rage chip All-in-Wonder 128/Pro Please advise. Thanks. --Leonid |
I would go for PCI, myself. The PCIe cards can be fluky.
All of the PCIe cards are the same -- they use the same drivers. Only the graphics differed. Don't get the 128 Pro. It's not as good as the 7000-series PCI (7500 VE). |
