Converting RCA to y/c and back

Hi guys...yet again I find my self in need of your greatness...

I've got several VHS tapes I'd like to put onto DVD. I now have what I hope to be a great TBC (Prime Image -- got it for a steal). But, it only processes/produces composite and S-Video inputs/outputs and my VHS player only has RCA outputs.

Does anyone know what I can do? I've done enough reading to know that this is not as simple as using a cable converter and I'm hoping to find a schematic somewhere to build a device that will do a good job.

Any hints/help, as always, will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers...Tom

$25 at Radio Shack, a cable converter.
Not the optimal way, but it works.

LS...

I've read cable converters don't produce great results, but if you think it will do well I'll try one.

As always, tks.

Cheers...Tom
