Does anyone have experience with using the ATI TV Wonder 600 USB with VirtualDub to capture PAL video with HuffYUV? Can't seem to find a definitive answer, except that it's clear that if you use the device to capture MPEG-2 (via CMC?), you can only capture/encode NTSC, as LS explained on the main thread for this device.

Because it is, so far, the only non-PCI device recommended highly by this forum, and therefore would allow me to NOT build an XP box using parts I don't have yet, I'd really like to give it a try. But I won't bother if someone can state definitively that I won't be able to capture PAL and NTSC in HuffYUV using VirtualDub and this device.

Thanks very much to everyone in advance for any cogent replies!

Edit: Just to head off any LMGTFY (let me Google that for you) replies... I did (googled, that is, duh) and found out that the answer to my question is YES. Apparently the device can be used to capture PAL. Thanks for reading!
