Use Medion Media PC for TV tuner, capturing?

Hello

I have got hold of an old Medion Media Pc. It has two interesting cards inside.

1. TV-tuner Card with Phlips SAA7131E chipset

It has only two connectors, one that looks like a composite ( called TV-Ant ) and one that looks like a sattellite connection (DVB-S)

2. Graphichs Card, NVidia GeForce 6-, 7-, 8-, 9-Series
with a lot of connectors, DVI, HDMI, S-VHS, Scart and 4 x round connecters (component?)

Can I use them for anything related to capturing from VHS? Right now I use Pinnacle software and Hauppauge USB LIVE 2 external capture device.

I do not know if the pc itself works (maybe just the harddrive is defect), but if it does there is also a front connector plate connected to the mainboard with Firewire and SVS and 2xcomposite sound and composit tv (yellow)

Can this pc or the parts ( in anonther pc ) be used for anything reg. capturing from VHS or via Firewire from Mini-DV?

Why wouldn't you be able to..? Just connect the VCR to the S-Video or composite input of the front panel. It looks like that is connected internally to the Philips card.

Haven't bothered to look whether this is capable of lossless.

Will it work? Perhaps.
We'd need to see some capture samples. Are you sure if it even turns on? And not infected with malware?
