Has anyone heard of a SVhs Mini tape?

Yes.

The format is S-VHS-C, and is the Super VHS form of the VHS-C (compact VHS) format.
I shot them on the JVC GR-SXM920U.

Does a regular VHS-C adapter to VHS work?

Yes, but use a good one. S-VHS-C is even more temperamental than regular VHS-C.
The JVC CP7U, and clones, is suggested.
