Hi All,

I've ordered the "HAUPPAUGE 01341 USB Live-2" as a capture device. I think this is the same thing as the 610. The only difference I could find is that 610 is listed on the US Hauppauge site and 01341 is listed on the UK site. All information relating to the product is the same, and both devices in the picture are branded as "USB Live 2".

Do you think this is the same thing and a safe purchase for high quality transfers from VHS?

Thanks

I emailed Hauppauge and they told me that it's the same hardware and software, so I guess that answers it.

Do you think we should update the following page to state the alternative model number?

Thanks

I further asked them why are the model numbers different, and the reply was that different retails have different model numbers. That sounds strange to me but ok. I guess it could be some regulatory thing (CE vs FCC marking or something) perhaps

US box / US site
Hauppauge USB-Live2 US.jpg

UK box -- several languages printed on it. / UK site claims to include Quick Installation Guide while US site doesn't.

But probably the model number is just to differentiate the multilingual Euro version.

Both boxes misspell digitizer. WTF?
