And have you selected analog component input from the Blackmagic settings? If it's selected I'm out of ideas.

Ah. It won't work with VDub over HDMI? That's how it's set up at the moment.

EDIT: Nope, using component cables and setting it to component doesn't work either, although both that and the previous HDMI setup worked just fine in the capturing software that came with the Shuttle.

Now I can't get even that software to work after plugging the HDMI cable back in, though. Ugh.

If it makes difference I have "Decklink Video Capture (DirectShow)" selected, and from Video menu "Capture filter" and "Set custom format" must match source. It seems this process is a bit peculiar with Intensity.

Aha! I'd been using "Blackmagic WDM Capture (DirectShow)". Selecting the Decklink one un-greys 'Capture filter' in the menu, allowing me to alter it and magically, a picture appears!

I had tried it briefly before, but got as far as seeing no video or audio sources, and a blank preview, and went back to the Blackmagic one. Still no video or audio sources available, but it's working.

I'd thought I would offer a little insight.

I have some BetacamSP tapes, and have three SP decks, the BVW-D75 which has SDI, PVW-2800 and the Sony DVW-M2000 Digibeta which is backwards compatible with BetaSP tapes.

I bought all three decks off Ebay...all in working condition with low hours (M2000) and had them serviced. The unique thing regarding the M2000 deck was that there was an optional HD upconverter board that I managed to find where it will upconvert the video to HD, up to 1080i.

This is the workflow I have....I use the AJA Kona LHi capture card for all my analog capture needs, and have no problem capturing the BetaSP tapes using the component connections. My setup is a bit more complex since I also have SVHS machines I also capture with, via SDI.
