Does the Panasonic DMR-EZ25 have a rock and solid TBC functionality (es H/V jitter correction) like the DMR-ES10/15/25 on passthrough with the advantage of HDMI output? Thanks in advance!

It has a tbc functionality but not as powerful as the ES10 or ES15. Likewise the ES25. Why do you need HDMI for capture?

Ok, thanks. I need HDMI for capture because I'm using a Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4k with HDMI input, in order to avoid analog-to-digital-to-analog conversion and to optimize the entire process. P.S.: by the way, what's the difference between ES25 and EZ25? American and European versions maybe?

If you're going to use a Panasonic DVDR as a pass-thru tbc device, you won't avoid an analog-to-digital-to-analog conversion.
In the experience of most users here and elsewhere, no BlackMagic device has been recommended for analog source capture.
But do whatever you want. Let us know how it turns out.

You know, I already have a DMR-EH585 (HDMI) but it won't fix tearing at all and the image is a little bit grainy for my liking. On the other hand, Blackmagic IP 4K works fine with analog sources and never gave me any grief. Anyway, I can always count on a Matrox MXO2 Mini. Many thanks for your advice.
