Good morning everyone (well it is here in Western Australia anyhow).

Just a quick question if anyone is in the know.

This JVC HR-S8500E is not in the approved list.

I can get a working model from a neighbor for $100

It is an S-VHS and has TBC/DNR.

Is there a reason it isn't on the list?

Regards,
Paul

It's worth $100. I think the reason it's not listed, like the 7500E, is due to lacking image/audio filters. It is just a good transport, TBC, and nothing else. But again, for only $100, and for a PAL deck, worth it.

Thanks Lord Smurf,

Still waiting on your TBC to arrive.

But that is normal for the time it takes to get anything to the land down under

A previous item from Germany took two months.

Regards,

Paul
