setup is so : digital box feeds via rgb enabled scart to jvc dvd recorder.

question : what aspect ratio should i use? 4:3? 4:3L? 16:9?

or doesn't this setting matter when doing a dvd recording?

all help appreciated.

It matters. Your normal tv feed is 4:3.
Your normal HDTV feed, downconverted, would likely be the 16:9

You know I have never tried recording HD signals with the 16:9 setting. I might have to switch it and see what happens.
