Hi everyone,
I can get a Prime Image TBC/FREEZE II. I have very little knowledge about using TBC so i need advice if this unit is worth to buy.
Is it a line TBC or a frame TBC? What correction will it provide?
From front panel i see these buttons:
Bypass / video level / setup / chroma / hue and far to the right i see 2 holes marked H / SC and a green rectangle witch has GL under it.

On the back panel from left to right: i see:
2 connectors GEN LK then 3 connectors ( looks like BNC) a switch and 2 connectors ( looks like s-video)
Identificatrion of the 3 BNC: VID OUT2 / VID OUT 1 / VID IN
Identification of 2 s-video: Y/C IN / Y/C OUT

I want to capture lossless VHS tapes from my cameras. And old tube camera and a VHS-C camera.
My actual setup:
JVC HR-S3500U => Pana ES15 (Passthru) => VC500 => computer (win7)
Actually i bought a ATI AIW 9600 AGP that will be used in a dedicated computer(XWinXP) for capture.
I can get a Panasonic AG1960 witch is reported to have no TBC/DNR. Is it worth the buy with the setup i have.
Regards.

It is not worth getting, no, unless it is nearly free (under $50 total, including any shipping).
Even then, meh.

Old rack-mount TBCs like this expected professional sources (Betacam SP, etc), and will often choke on consumer formats like VHS.

Just being "a TBC" is not necessarily the sort of TBC you need.
