Hi there,

I know this is an old question but last message I saw was from 2012, so I'm here asking again

My goal is to create (and mantain!) a list of good hardware for Hi8 / Video8 capturing. I started something here:

https://lab.dyne.org/Museo/RecuperoDati/Video8

Is there somewhere a more comprehensive list?

TY all!

There are other brand prosumer camcorders that did Hi8, notably from Canon; e.g., A1 Digital, L1, L2. (the USA variants anyway) to name a few models.

Also, don't forget the Sony Hi8 and Digital8 Walkman. More expensive than camcorders, but they work.
