I had this working when I did an original AIW 9800 PRO install with its included OEM CD 180-V01068-100, then I uninstalled all I could see and installed the 8.8 OEM CD 180-V01084-100 found on this site.

Now my "Start Recording" button is greyed out and I can't seem to get it working again.

VirtualDub records fine.

So either:

1) The "dirty" install is causing problems with MMC.

2) The order of my all my driver and apps install (with 8.8 being the last bit) is causing problems with MMC.

3) Version 8.8 for some reason doesn't work with my 9800 Pro.

4) An automatic Windows XP update (there were two "newer" ATI drivers available) is causing problems.

I'm willing to nuke all and start clean if necessary, but would like suggestions that aren't that drastic...

I went ahead and nuked it and finally got the recording function working, however, I no longer have sound in the "live broadcast" window. But it DOES record the sound and the sound plays back fine from the recording. I had installed in order: OS, base drivers, Turtle Beach drivers, ATI AIW drivers, then lastly, ATI MMC. I think my original order had the ATI drivers/MMC first before the Turtle Beach drivers.

Anywho, I'm starting clean again, nuking it all and will install the Turtle Beach drivers last. Winblowz, sheesh...
