It's decent. A JVC DVD recorder is better.

d.smyth 09-25-2006 06:18 AM

is this the 2nd best, or is there another

emokid 09-29-2006 04:44 AM

This one is on sale at geeks.com I was thinking about it also ;)

no s-video input or output tho.

lordsmurf 09-29-2006 06:44 AM

Certain Pioneer and Toshiba units may be better (but not ALL of them). It really depends on what you plan to record with it.

emokid 09-29-2006 07:57 AM

It's 60$ refurbed from geeks. So I guess it'd be decent for something if someone wanted it?

lordsmurf 09-29-2006 08:33 AM

Yeah, $60 is decent for sure.

I bought the magnavox 10D6 it was $99.999. I recorded 16 out of 17 movies with no need of my clarifier. I dont think this unit detects the different types of microvision.

dsmyth, if you go to a hutchins (can't spell) store near you, you could get a decent pioneer dvd recorder for about £200.

A bit costly, but worth it in the end and the picture quality is brillant. just ask LS or spokyfox about the john doe set.

I have the dvr-230, but their might be a newer model out for it.
