Hello

I need help. I should digitize hi8 cassettes for one person 15pcs. However, I have not previously digitized these hi8 cartridges, and I don't know what to do. I would like to take advantage of my own VHS tape recorder with TBC timer. Those cartridges are 20 years old. What do I have to do to make things happen? Is there an adapter that I would get for my digitalization on my VHS tape with TBC?

My VHS recorder is Panasonic NV-HS1000.

Thank you!

You should post in the Capture forum group, what you need depends on how much money you want to spend, or how much time you want to put into it,

No the VHS player nor its TBC will not be of any help to you, TBC in a VCR works on the tape that was played in it only. You would need a Digital8 player or D8 camcorder, Some are built in TBC some are not. And NO, there is no cassette adapter from 8mm to VHS, It's a shame if you are doing this for the money and you don't know how both formats work.

My friend, you should not expect replies that differ from before. This forum post is an exact copy of the one you created previously. You must invest in a camcorder that accepts Video8 or Hi8 tapes. The Time Base Corrector in your VCR cannot be used as a passthrough for a camcorder. You must find a camcorder with a built in Time Base Corrector.

In other words:

Camcorder --> Panasonic NV-HS1000 --> Capture Device will NOT work.

Sinun on löydettävä videokamera, johon on asennettu Time Base Corrector.

Do not double post. That just wastes my time with thread clean-up.
