Well, I want to learn Adobe After Effects, but not real need or time, not to date.
Encoder-wise, I've got MainConcept and Procoder MPEG exporting. I have LSX installed (allows MPEG import). And then once upon a time, I had Cleaner (not a great encoder comparatively, did not install last time I reformatted in June).
There are a couple of of things I've been looking at recently, namely the STEADYMOVE plugin that you can see at Wrigley Video, but it requires Premiere Pro, so I'm going to have to hold off for now. Premiere Pro is now in its second version, and it seems Adobe has started to abandon older ones very recently (I've only noticed this in the past couple of weeks).
Whenever I upgrade to a Matrox or Canopus NLE card, I'll have their plugins and filters dumped into Premiere also. I'll probably get Premiere Pro buying one of the NLE packages sometime next year. (Whether I buy it depends on how much I plan to expand my business, it's currently a side-job only.)
