MPEG not playing on Premiere 6.5 - jittering video no audio
Hello.
I saved an MPEG file using the FF DownloadHelper plugin. The file plays perfect in Windows Media Player. Importing it into Premiere 6.5 fails to render it properly. The video skips frames and slowly jitter from frame to frame (skipping frames) and there's no audio. I installed the Adobe MPEG Encoder 1.3, to no avail. The MPEG video has these attributes: Total Duration: 0:47:40:21 Average Data Rate: 510.90KB per second Image Size: 720 x 576 Pixel Depth: 0 bits Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.067 Frame Rate: 25.00 fps Audio: 11025 Hz - 16 bit - Mono Any ideas? Thanks! Mor |
A video that has been downloaded from the Internet is not likely in the uncompressed or lossless type of video format expected by a professional non-linear video editor (NLE) like Adobe Premiere. The older versions are even less friendly towards compressed formats.
You'll have to identifiy what sort of video/audio codecs are in use here. It's probably Flash On2 VP6, Windows Media (WMV), or H.264 There's a number of possible formats. Use Gspot: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...-analysis.html Then convert it out to an uncompressed or lossless format (like Huffyuv), using something like Avidemux or VirtualDub. All of that is freeware. :) |
