Need to create a new DV tape from a DV tape (copy) but want to eliminate sound on the new DV tape.

This is essentially a quick edit involving a computer and an NLE (non-linear editor) of some kind.

- You'd transfer (DV "capture") the video onto the computer.
- Then you'd open it in an NLE like Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas Video, or Apple Final Cut Pro.
- Cut the audio track.
- Then export it back from the NLE onto a new tape.

Note that this is realtime, and retains the full original DV quality -- it's not using a lossy analog step.

I'm curious why you'd need to do this. It's not a common task.
