Software for MPEG2 editing, beside Premiere Pro?
 

Any editing software other than Premiere Pro for edit matrox mpeg2 file formats?

This was never replied to, so putting here in case anyone else was wondering.

I've never used these, but have heard good things of both Davinci & OpenShot.

If you don't have them installed you'll need mpeg2 codecs. Personally, I prefer K-Lite codec pack, but another is stickied on the forum.

Lastly, mpeg2 is a lossy delivery format and not an editing format. If you plan on doing a lot to the video, keep in mind each time its re-encoded it will look worse.

The Matrox codecs are generally system-wide, and most editors will thus allow it. But I guess it also depends on OS and editor version. It's getting harder to know what's what, as too much stuff is going the wrong way lately, meaning less compatibility and not more.
