I was going to reply to a thread from 2008, but the reply box suggested to start a new thread. Just wanted to say thanks to LS for the suggestion of the Goldwave pop/crackle filter. It did wonders for a clip I'm working on but couldn't get results with in Audacity or Fairlight getting rid of the audio noise. It's kind if sad, but a lot of people today may not even know what we're talking about when we say the noise was popping like a dirty record.

Yep, that filter is probably one of the reasons I still use Goldwave. (For everything else, I'm now using SoundForge plugins.)

For replies like this, thread bumping is fine.
Any idea which thread that was, so we can at least link to it here?
