Can you remove/fix blurred coverup from movies?
 

The movies, usually tv stuff that has the blurry blocks covering something "they" don't want you to see, sometimes nudity, can these be fixed or eliminated or is the error I will call it permanent?

It's part of the image, and it replaced what used to be there.
So no, there's no way to remove it. It's a permanent part of the video now.

Ok, what is this? how is this done? I have seen this quite often on cable tv.

A translucent image or filter is superimposed on top of the video, generally in non-linear post production, although it can be applied live during a delayed broadcast, using the high-end editing facilities.

If the person is moving, it's tracked along that path.
(I forget the technical video jargon used for this. I'll probably wake up at 3 a.m. randomly having finally remembered it.)

It's a pretty basic editing task.

The new video output is forever changed. The only way to have an "uncensored version" is if a live broadcast dual records an uncut version, or if the source of the non-linear version is retained. But in each case, it's a separate video that is uncensored -- the censored version cannot be reversed.

That sucks...was hopeful it was an error that could be removed.

Is this something you wanted to try for fun or is this footage that is unavailable otherwise?

Either way, the original uncut video is gone. The blur is not on a layer that can be removed, but simply replaced whatever used to be there. A pair of big bouncy tits, for example, are now a pair of fuzzy blocks. There's no way to take off the "fuzzy digital bra". Think of it as a "fuzzy blocky tattoo" that has forever changed what was once there.

Maybe you meant having fun doing the inverse? Adding censorship?
