I got a email from Sign Video the otherday and they are not longer making the proc amps and detailer. They are sold out. I cant believe it. I am so disapointed about that as i tried to order them.

That's a real bummer. Sometimes you really get tired of good products getting discontinued, and by the time we have the money to get them there no long available. Sucks.

Well i have got a used Studio 1 dual proc amp but i was hoping to swap/sell it so i could get a DR1000 or a sign video single proc amp as i dont need a dual proc amp. Maybe i need to hang onto it now.

I tried to twist Sign Videos arm to do a special order but they still wont do that. So for now it looks like i am stick with the Cypress/Sima gear for for my NTSC tapes.

Sign Video is just the start of it. There are some more very popular items on here that have recently been stopped being made too which i found out this week.

Yes. I tried ordering a signvideo detailed a few weeks ago. It's been sold out for a few weeks now.

Never can have too much gear.

I know how you feel. I asked if they will specially make me some but they wont do that either. I dont know how big of an order they would need to convince them to change their minds though. Maybe a 'group buy'? I was lucky enough to find a Studio 1 dual proc amp but i was hoping/planing to sell or swap it on here for a single proc amp or DR1000 enhancer as i dont need 2 proc amps. Looks like i need to keep the studio 1 proc amp now though. I am going to send it to sign video first as i asked them if they can inspect and calibrate it to make sure its within specs. Also i want them to check if its a NTSC or PAL version because apparantly they made both types.

Yep, they put me onto the guy who designed them and if my memory is correct its the same guy who did the vidicraft stuff as i think they gave me the address of the same guy when i asked about getting a vidicraft proc amp looked at too.

When i got the vidicraft proc amp i looked inside and theres several pots and i thought what if the prvious owner jerked around with these, i have no way of knowing how to set them back right.
