Strange flimmer on JVC-S9500 with TBC-1000?

1 Attachment(s)
Strange flimmer on JVC-S9500 trough TBC1000 to DV-cam with S-video in and DV out.
Haven't seen this before, now suddenly noticed this from two completely different sources. Before the flimmer, perfect quality, and same after. It seems random. If I rewind the tape it might happen on a different place. Anyone seen this before?

Yes I also know by my Datavideo TBC1000

I have in different ones meet to test this TBC1000 taken.
The mistake did not come at the beginning of the Capturens separates only much later, sometimes after 20 Minten and sometimes after 30 minutes.

My engineer has found the device open, however, nothing.
So it came less than my 150 tonnes of press.

However, I do not understand what in this TBC1000 should be so great.
Every DMR ES10 is able to do this Better.

Here capture I only if necessary directly to DV-AVI
Normally in YUY2 or in Lagarith, because DV-AVI is compressed quite strongly [from 5 to 8x]
and is given only in 4:2:0.

What's a flimmer?

@Goldwingfahrer:

- The ES10 adds posterization artifacts, the TBC-1000 does not.
- The ES10 memory is also thin, while the DataVideo has a bigger bank of RAM. It's just more powerful and more accurate.
- The DataVideo also has a slight anti-jitter (laymen vertical jitter) effect, while the ES10 has none.
- Of course, the ES10 also has tearing removal, while the DataVideo does not, hence the need for it in a quality workflow.

Neither is better -- they're just different. Because of the artifacts, TBC-1000 is suited for general use, and the ES10 is not.

Please look at the example video attached to the post.

The sample looked like some sort of damaged video heads in a VCR. Honestly, it could have been many things.
I have the same issue with a SR-V10U right now. The VCR has issues. It looks a lot like this.

The only reason was a bit bad s-video output connection on the VHS player. (So relieved:) ) When I touch the cable the same distortion comes and goes.

Lordsmurf? Or somebody else? :)
Can you give me advice about JVC HM-DR10000EU? Is it worth 500 euroes in good condition? The seller says he is the only owner of it, but he is also selling Thomson DVH 8090 and Philips D-VHS Recorder VR20D at the same time. So it seems a bit strange, why would you own three D-VHS players for personal use.. The JVC is best I'm guessing. ?

I've read that the JVC HM-DR10000EU can have heat issues, do you have any experience with it?
It says on the forum that it can cure VHS tearing, like the Panasonic DMR-ES10. So it should give better quality than S-VHS players without the DVD player in pass-through, right? :)

I now have a JVC S9500 and VR10, on the VR10 unit the right audio output connection is damaged, needs repair, and there is no SCART output on it.. Strange, no? And front panels is always input, right?

This is quite possible, I also have 2 Philips VR20D and JVC HM-DR10000.
From 2 Thomson only the remote control.

A collector him his collection surrenders for age reasons or because he needs money....

I always take the lid away with it warm air can escape.

Heat problems have the Panasonic AG4700 and the FS1000 same to construction.
The net part is totally closed, I have shown pictures in a former contribution.

Nevertheless, JVC HR-S9500 has a Scart/Peritel connection.
Immediately like JVC HR-S9400 and JVC HR-S9600 and JVC HR-S9850.

I would allow to repair the recorders.

No, it comes on this bound in on which recorder it earlier was taken up.

We had used in the German Gleitz / Doom9 forum in the big analogously Capture test 48 recorders [43 all recorders belong to me]
No recorder has immediately spent picture and tone.

I have at the moment only 2 VHS cassettes NTSC, however, could take a short picture with a Philips VR20D and one of my other recorders, but here in the forum I am able to do maximum 99 mb of high-level store.
This is not enough, because in YUY2 it is per second about 22 mb.
