Hi guys...

been looking at S-VHSs, JVC only of course, and have found a few that are going fast.

I've seen the following models and wonding which would be the best one to purchase.

HR-S9911U (harder to find)
HR-S9800U
GoVideo SDV-650 (supposed to be the same as the S9800U)
BR-S822U -- this one is an open architecture, professional editing recorder

Sorry this is short notice and thank you for responses.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Tks TONS!! Tom

I would have to agree these are the 2 best on that list

HR-S9911U (harder to find)
HR-S9800U

though really any JVC S-VHS past the 7xxx range is good (2xxx-5xxx is usually missing some features or capabilities)

I just got the 9800 clone.
The difference I see between this machine and my old crappy vcr's (with the same tapes !!) is amazing.

One thing though, I can't use the Stabilizer function with the TBC (some tapes need both) would adding an external TBC (Datavideo-1000) help? -

Great timing, Joker...the 9800s all disappeared, so I'm going after the clone too...glad to hear it does well.
