Some of my tapes are quite dirty/mouldy and I want to give them a better clean than my homemade cotton swap setup can offer. Ideally, I need access to an RTI Tapecheck machine or something similar, but they're expensive to buy or even hire.

I was wondering if anyone on here has, or knows where I can get access to one of these machines without breaking the bank?

ps. I'm in Hertfordshire, but I'd consider travelling a long way if necessary...

All I can say here is 'good luck'. Hopefully another UK member here has some ideas.

Definitely inquire with any remaining VHS rental places that may exist. Rental places were often the buyers of RTI gear, be it the VHS or DVD cleaning/repair tools. There are still a few in the U.S., not sure about UK.
