Onboard sound for improving/filtering/editing audio?
My capture PC has TB Santa Cruz paired with the AIW. Now it occurs to me that my Windows 7 workhorse, which will do all beyond the capture phase, only has onboard sound (Realtek HD digital...)
Is that sufficient for post capture work with Sound Forge, editors, etc., or do I need a dedicated sound card there as well? |
Once the audio is captured it doesn't really matter as much. The onboard is just playing it, not recording it. Most audio cards play fine, it's the capturing that's the problem.
My main Win7 encoding system uses the onboard that came with my Asrock Extreme7+ board. Sounds fine. |
