Anyone experimented with H265 HEVC encoding?

I'm wondering if anyone has done quality tests on h265 vs h264 encoding?

I currently encode my web files from VHS capture 2 pass, target: 6000kbps, max: 8000kbps.

Has anyone determined what specs would be comparable using h265, with the goal to create even quality but smaller sized files?
