Resizing normal cover to fit 7mm case

my method is to scan the cover.
then split it into 3 sections - front, back and spine.

next i load up the 7mm cover template.
then i fit each of the front, back and spine to fit the template.

finally, i touch up, eg add to the edges, maximize the text on the spine etc.

this is a simply enough process.

but it is a bit of a chore.

so, is there a way of re-fitting a normal cover into a 7mm case size with the minimum manual input?

maybe a plug-in for photoshop?
a stand alone software package perhaps?

No.

Because all DVD cases vary in size by a few mm, templates would always be wrong a majority of the time.

When I scan DVD cases (which isn't often), I scan all 3 images, then copy/paste them into a single PSD, each on a new layer. I then use the Free Transform tool to independently adjust each layer. I do color correction last, after layout and cleanup is finished.

Even on a single core 2.8Ghz system with 1GB RAM, it's not that slow of a process. It's very fast compared to photography editing.
