Even before any fine tuning,a 2 min. VHS test went great!!(no stuttering or dropped frames!),The ATI CPU"test" feature is real handy, (MMC 8.8 or 8.9). 1st & 2nd run showed no capture driver installed,So i just ran the Catalyst install disc again, and 3rd run showed everything was ready to go! Just used random setting with videosoap,MPEG, A small preview window,(ON 42'' HDTV) and it worked Much Better than my TV Wonder 650HD card, in a Win 7 machine!! So Thank You for this great site!! Next step is to print your guides to AVI and MPEG Capture settings using MMC,and still have to optimize XP machine,So Far,So good!,See you in "Capture Record" section later?
