Bast way to convert VHS to DVD ?

Hello there
I have some vhs tapes which i want to put on dvd. I'm researching different providers. It seems that the Diamond one touch 500 and the "Honestechs deluxe 5.0" are the front runners. Also from research its being suggested to try and get a JVC VCR series 9600 or 9800 for transferring. Any thoughts on this?

the 9600 to 9911 JVC's and the Panasonic AG-1980 are the most recommended VCR's

get an ATI 600 USB for capture device

How many tapes do you have? Because sometimes it make more sense to pay a service (like ours) for under 100 tapes.
Otherwise you pay the same or more, and still have to do the work, and still have to learn about video.
